Glass Partition Walls
A glass partition wall divides a space without closing it off — light and sightlines carry through where a solid wall would cut the room in two. It’s a look that works as well in a home renovation as it does in an office fit-out, and it’s a natural extension of the frameless glass work we’ve been doing across the Central Coast, Newcastle and Hunter Valley since 2007.
As a family-owned business, and in partnership with our sister company Shower Screen Traders, Unique Frameless Glass bring the same custom-measure, toughened-glass approach we use on shower screens and balustrades to partition walls — designed around your space rather than fitted from a standard size.
Frameless Glass Partition Walls
A frameless glass partition wall uses toughened safety glass held by base or top fixings, with no visible frame around the panel itself — keeping the division between spaces as unobtrusive as possible while still doing the job of a wall.
- Full-height or half-height panel options
- Clear, low-iron, or frosted/obscure glass depending on the privacy needed
- Fixed with base channel, top-and-base clamps, or patch fittings

Office & Commercial Partitions
An office glass partition lets a space stay open-plan in feel while still separating meeting rooms, offices, or workstations — useful for natural light distribution and a modern, professional look in a commercial fit-out.
Commercial glass partitions typically need to account for:
- Acoustic performance (single glazing vs. an acoustic-rated glass build-up)
- Door and access points integrated into the partition run
- Compliance with any workplace or building requirements for the space
Bathroom and Wet-Area Partitions
Glass partitions aren’t limited to offices — a partition wall using the same toughened glass as our shower screens can separate a wet area from the rest of a bathroom, or divide an ensuite, while keeping the room feeling open rather than boxed in.
Our bathroom and wet-area glass, including partitions, uses toughened safety glass compliant with Australian Standards (AS/NZS 2208) — the same standard we apply across our shower screen installations.
Fixed Panels, Doors and Sliders
A partition run can combine fixed glass panels with an access point, depending on how the space needs to function:
- Fixed panels — permanently glazed sections with no opening.
- Hinged doors — a swinging door built into the partition run, using the same hinge principles as our frameless glass doors.
- Sliding panels — for tighter spaces where a swing door isn’t practical.
We talk through layout and access points with you at the design stage, so the partition works for how the space is actually used day to day.
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between a frameless and framed glass partition?
A frameless partition uses toughened glass with minimal fixings and no surrounding frame, giving the clearest sightline. A framed or semi-framed partition has visible framing at the edges or between panels, which can suit larger runs or budget-sensitive projects.
Can a glass partition include a door?
Yes — a partition run can combine fixed panels with a hinged or sliding door where you need access through the divide, rather than a solid wall.
Is glass partition glass safe to use around the home or office?
Yes, our glass is toughened safety glass, compliant with Australian Standards (AS/NZS 2208), and designed to break into small, blunt fragments rather than sharp shards if it’s ever damaged.
Can glass partitions be frosted or obscured for privacy?
Yes, clear, low-iron, and frosted/obscure glass are all options depending on how much privacy the space needs.
Do you install glass partitions outside the Central Coast?
Yes, we install across the Central Coast, Newcastle and Hunter Valley.
